1975 Alfa Romeo T33/TT/12
The 1975 season and the Tipo 33 finally came good. Now powered by Autodelta's flat-12 three litre engine, the T33/TT/12s totally dominated the World Championship for Makes, winning 7 of the 9 championship races, placing second in the other two.
The T33/TT/12 designation indicated its Tipo 33 lineage, Telaio Tubolare (tubular chassis) and the 12 cylinders of its engine.
The victories included the Monza 1000 kms, Dijon_Prenois 800 Kms, Spa Francorchamps 1000 Kms, Coppa Florio 1000 Kms, Österreichring 1000 Kms, Watkins Glen 6 hours and the Nürburgring 1000 Kms.
The car shown is the no.1 Nürburgring 1000 Km-winning entry, driven by Arturo Merzario/Jacques Lafitte.
