Porsche 962C. 1987.
The all-conquering 956 was revised to include a 120mm longer wheelbase and revised bodywork. This was primarily done to relocate the pedal box behind the front axle line - in line with FIA and IMSA safety directives.
The new variant was called the 962 in IMSA form and the 962C for FIA World Sportscar events run under group C rules - which included Le Mans. This is the 1987 winner, piloted by Hans-Joachim Stuck, Derek Bell and Al Holbert.
