The GTOs first race. Acquired by Luigi Chinetti Motors in March 1962, the car was prepared and entered under Chinetti’s N.A.R.T race team in the Sebring 12hrs later that same month. Painted in N.A.R.T’s customary metallic blue with a white stripe and sporting the number 24, the car featured 2 wing/fender vents and a riveted on tail spoiler.
Driven by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien, the car finished 2nd overall (to the Ferrari 250 TR1/61 driven by Jo Bonnier and Lucien Bianchi) and 1st in the GT3.0 class.
