Delivered to UK Ferrari importer Maranello Concessionaires in 1963, the car was raced with considerable success - mostly at UK events. Painted red and featuring the light blue nose which is synonymous with Maranello Concessionaires race cars, the RHD car featured 2 wing/fender vents and the fuel filler on the right hand rear wing/fender.
The car shown is the 1963 Tourist Trophy winner driven by Graham Hill.
For the following season, this car was returned to the factory to be re-bodied by Scaglietti in the series 2 ’64 style bodywork racking up an impressive series of results, driven by the likes of Mike Parkes, Graham Hill, Innes Ireland and Ludovico Scarfiotti.
