1971 Alfa Romeo T33/3
For the 1971 season, the 3 litre car featured new spider bodywork, similar to the Porsche 908/3s, without headlights and a short, open tail section.
The '71 car was much more successful , with class wins in the Buenos Aries 1000km, Monza, Zeltweg and Spa races and outright wins in the BOAC 1000km at Brands Hatch, the Targa Florio and at Watkins Glen. Alfa finished the season in second place in the championship.
The car shown is the no.5 Targa-winning entry driven by Toine Hezemans and Nino Vaccarella. The sister no.2 car, driven by Andrea de Adamich/Gijs van Lennep came home in second place.
