All four variations of the now legendary Sunoco-Ferrari 512M in one place. Although the fastest and best prepared sports prototype of 1971, the car was unlucky, with accidents and minor failures robbing the car and the driver_Mark Donohue of the racing success it deserved.
The fourth and final racing appearance of the Sunoco 512M was at Watkins Glen in 1971. The car was again fast (1st on the grid) for the 6 hours sportscar race but was eventually classified DNF.
The team remained at the Glen for the cars fifth race of its short but glorious career - the Can Am race the following day. Unfortunately - DNF again.
